i thought this was too clunky. the show thus far has felt natural and realistic, and i feel uncomfortable being thrown into greek-chorus land.

i did like the series. didn't love, but will probably watch the next season.
One thing that bothered me is that we had two characters who do shady stuff that I'm curious about REALLY well, but they don't show it off that much during the show. less crying, more bad behavior! i like to be indulged.
also, i didn't…
i nearly thought nygma was going to break and admit he also loved penguin. it was a character-defining moment. while bruce was saying "i will not kill" nygma was going "i kill"
i'm so glad i'm not the only one who wasn't in love with jjs. they had some good times, but he didn't have enough redeeming qualities. what a TERRIBLE boyfriend and human being.
"listen to me…you little idiot!"
also the completely nonsensical internal logic of those shows!
well i took it as the effect of being brought up in two very different ways—pushed to study and be sheltered from life's crap, but then again witnessing murder and mama mabel's horrible-ness. i wouldn't be surprised if the shifts in mariah's cadence were not accidental.
throw the head to me :)
theo rossi is kinda cute, come on…
one thing i noticed is that mariah's accent often switches, showing her two personas. sometimes it's very composed and clearly enunciated (the academic) and sometimes it's spiteful cursingrollingoffthetongue.
um. i cried when scarfe died ahkay?
did not expect to cry for pop (it was spoiled ahead of time for me). totally did.
this is just too much fight club…
i don't mean to say this series is bad—it isn't—but it feels like a derivative amalgamation of the matrix and fight club.
White Rose plays the (rude!) Oracle
Mr Robot is both Morpheus and Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt side of things)
Darlene could be Trinity (I kept thinking Elliott and Darlene should be shipped—until i saw…
never seen the third man but that ferris wheel actually reminded me of the matrix, which i've seen about 20 times (cue groans and eyerolls?). As Morpheus says, "Let me tell you why you're here. You're here because you know something. What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire life,…
i have to say, paris' horrid, unintelligible portuguese accent and her constant switching between portuguese and spanish is really making me cringe. as a fluent portuguese speaker i didn't know what language she was talking in without subtitles. what purpose is that even supposed to serve?
OMG I AM COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS UNTIL HCF IS BACK UGHHHHHH.
i was sweating when Logan hit the right guy. is that normal?
i'm not sure how well she did as a reviewer in general and i wasn't completely serious, just annoyed at a spoiler that should and could have been avoided.
i liked the battle itself, i just thought it totally took away from what could have been a compelling victory for sansa. maybe i'm being too critical, because i have no idea how to execute such a thing and maybe the writers did the best they could.
