The Jersey was a gift from the Packers players that were in attendance. It's a custom Jersey where the number "10" is a reference to their debut album. Of course Vedder wore it, it would have been extremely dickish not to.

I imagine another benefit might be to keep the performers interested. I'm not a musician but I wouldn't be surprised if playing the same stuff night after night might feel tedious and it could be fun to change things up, challenge yourself, which in turns keeps the energy and spirit up and enhancing the performance.

Well put, Cookie. They love music, their fans love music. It's a simple basic thing but it's the most important thing for a band.

Cool that you were there. That was captured in a box set "Live at the Gorge."

This is the first time I've seen Pearl Jam content on this site that isn't full of snark.
Bravo! Love the band, and everyone should experience one of their concerts.

Troi's mom and Barclay were NOT good.

1) The Legend of the Rangers pilot has him there to act as a bridge from B5 for the spin-off and wiseguy mentor figure. But really his ending is literally shown in B5 as he's killed in a mutual choke hold with Londo. How he ended up on Centauri Prime is detailed in the book trilogy that focuses on Londo and Vir.
And no

One of the reasons I love Sleeping In Light is that it is explicitly and exclusively for the show's staff, creators and fans. It's like the lead guitarist of your favorite band playing a solo that's a bit too long but it's ok, he's your hero, and you want to worship at him.
SiL lets me worship at my favorite shows,

I remember watching that thing the same night as the "tuck rule" NFL playoff game that essentially kicked off Brady's rise to stardom. Both the game and I were in Massachusettes during a snow storm. I think there was just too much going on that night for me to focus on Legend properly.

The first time I saw Sleeping In Light was around when I finally got around to watching Star Trek: The Motion Picture. So I like to pretend that they blew up B5 to prevent it from colliding with a destructive alien technology and coming back to destroy earth in the distant future.

Yes, this!
My understanding is a reverse in this context would mean the QB hands to one player, who then hands to another player to run back the other way (thus reversing the direction of the play).
A "double reverse" would be an additional hand-off to a 3rd ball carrier running in the original direction. That is- it

Was Limbaugh actually announcing a game? I thought he was just doing a sports talk show or something when he said that crap about McNabb that got him fired.
Miller was wonderful- it was one of the greatest befuddling clusterfucks I'd ever witnessed.

I don't think it's completely fair to say that marriage is the reward for Garibaldi exclusively. Yes in the moment Rowan references she is bluntly, aggressively presenting it to him as such but that in turn is her "reward" after everything she's been through. She all but admitted that her marriage to Edgars was out of

What I love about the 2nd half of season 5, including and especially the finale, is that they were made with no desire or obligation to do another season, allowing them to actually complete a story on television, which is kind of amazing considering how that like never happened almost.
This meant they couldn't care

When I discovered and explored Chilton's work, it showed me how I can't ever come to consensus with what has become "cool" or consensus quality music as portrayed by indy rock writers, Spin, Pitchfork, and yes this site.
(I know Pitchfork gets a lot of deserved crap here but when it comes to "classic" rock like this, I

Also there was a doctor

Anyone else ever get into Magma? Here they are back in the day, with their crazy French leader chant-singing in his made-up language and then the band playing some prog-rock fusion stuff, and also there are girl singers and 70s space band outfits. I actually saw them reunited at a prog rock festival a few years ago,

I know the Byron story sucks and it's not my favorite either but does everyone agree with Rowan's claim that Byron is actually presented as the protagonist of this bunch of episodes

I remember reading that basically she would have been involved with Byron- strategically if not also romantically, taken their side and been forced to choose between her loyalty for Sheridan/Earth/Alliance and her sympathy for the telapaths / hatred of Psi Corps.

Well Byron does deserve sympathy. I mean that's kind of the thing- the telepaths have been monumentally screwed over and savaged.
Of course Byron's kind of an insufferable prick but why do leaders of oppressed people also have to be lovely?
