You're just making friends left and right here.

By that same token, Mad Season's River Of Deceit is also 2 chords and "some Layne whining"… Down, oh down.
And as others have already mentioned, one of the best moments in his entire discography.

I find it impossible to fathom how someone could call himself an AIC "fan" and then dismiss Nutshell as "boring" in the next breath… Seeing how it's only the most sublime, heart-wrenching track in the band's entire catalog.
In fact, the entire first side of Jar Of Flies (yes, I still have my original vinyl) is probably

Admitting is the first step to recovery.

Hannibal is many unflattering things but boring ain't one of them.

You should never feel bad about listening to Pyromania, one of the great hard rock records of the 80s (just behind Back In Black and Appetite For Destruction). No guilt whatsoever.
Now Slang on the other hand….

No Chrissie Hydne???

Oh Jim! Oh Jim…..

Day after, sure. Especially if your store isn't heavily trafficked.
Day before…. Depending on whether your shop keeper gets reported or not, they might not have the ability to order RSD titles next year.

Many MANY bands already release a limited edition on vinyl when their album is released. Many many labels release special editions for almost ALL their releases (Sub Pop, for starters).
But the fact that you weren't aware of this kinda proves the point behind RSD, right?

Husker Du's first single was re-released as a double 7" last RSD. Can't win every year.

1) Record labels are free to release any and everything they think will sell… on Record Store Day, or any other day. Obviously there's incentive to make a special RSD release for the day when foot traffic at record stores increases 500%.
But if a label presses nothing but "shit" for RSD and gets very few orders, that

Everybody knows you've been discreet
But there were so many frogs you just had to meet
Without your clothes…
And everybody knows.

[dramatic pause] Because no one will ever believe you.

I enjoy the fact that "fictional band with the ridiculous name Scum Of The Earth" is now an actual band.

Bruce wrote "Jump (For My Love)"???

Oh, I agree it fits the category. A good decade passed before I even HEARD the H&O version, after liking the PY track as a kid. Now I prefer H&O, but that might be the lack of overexposure.

It's no "Little Suzi" tho.

Tom survived Frito-Lay. He can survive Rod.

Rod DID cover "Tom Traubert's Blues." The less said the better.
