I could swear it was Montreal…some of the City of Light scenes in this episode looked liked they were shot in the courtyard of Place Ville Marie

True, ultimately she comes off as wanting the show to be something it is not. So when she says something negative it doesn't sound like the productive criticism you expect from a reviewer it sounds like she doesn't really care for the show at all.

I think there was some subtle yet interesting commentary about how we expect women to behave when expecting a child. I also wonder what the story is behind the child's conception. It seems they are trying to show that the (assumed) loss of their child caused a rupture in their relationship that couldn't be repaired?

That's the problem, she writes her reviews with the indifference of a casual viewer. It always seems like she'd rather be watching something else.
