The way the camera moves in tight corners as if the entire segment was going to be done in one shot AND opening with drums before the opening shot is revealed, not sure how you don't see it as a Birdman homage.

Basically

It is suppose to be Birdman, the drums were a dead give away

Finally someone who got the clear reference. I'm sure it parodied other things, but this was clearly meant to be a Birdman homage. I loved Birdman!

And the drum solo is a clear sign of its Birdman origins

Um, why do people think the opening is suppose to be a parody of Asron Soarkin? Has nobody seen Birdman?
