I obviously disagree xD. While I think Mads is *incredibly* talented for me Hugh Dancy was the stand out in Hannibal (didn't know him before). I especially disagree with Hugh relying too much on mannerism and tics - what struk me the most of his performance , among other things, was how he managed to convey emotions…

IMHO they are both GREAT actors ..Mads had -generally- better/more interesting roles in his career that helped him show his talent but after 'Hannibal' I'd say the better actor is Hugh Dancy ( through Will Graham he showed a range few have - and he's amazing in The Path too ) .

What really should matter is not who plays who but HOW.
