I used to teach evolution as a TA at an Ivy League college. I taught many students who were "prepped" like this. The saddest part was that they were usually VERY smart students who were well equipped to be critical thinkers. the "arguments" they presented were easily dismantled.
I went to a Jesuit college. Jesuits actively encourage critical thinking and questioning the foundations of your beliefs.
