As a comic nerd, I'd have to somewhat disagree. I don't need a half hour of Easter eggs and references if the jokes were actually funny. Bottom line, the writing was lazy, because they thought the 'high' concept would float them through.

Bigger, and worse. In fact, when you factor in that it's NBC in conjunction with WB/DC Comics, along with nearly 90 years of source material, and a rip off of an existing Marvel comic (Damage Control) … It's just smh sad.
I think the message is getting lost here. The point is this:
Why did the chicken cross the road?
Typical sitcom is still typical, regardless of the concept. Heck, just ask Big Bang Theory.
Fair enough, the founder of the RRHoF had great intentions derailed by a lousy committee. I prefer the Axl Rose way though: refuse it all and write a wacky letter about it
Was the 'never change' bit sarcasm? Am I being daft for asking? Because caring about something as lame as the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame is a big departure from all those other great things you listed.
Exactly. Pearl Jam tries so hard to pretend to be some anti-corporate jam band, then makes a big to do about some bullshit awards. Funny how these artist get caught up in such superfluous garbage. If Ament really cared, then start a website or an app or a cable channel or an actual music label that promotes great…
I like Whedon for the most part, but what's these comments defending AOU? A fucking all powerful robot has articulated lips and decides his plan b is to pick up a chunk of Earth and slam it back down. Ultron is an embarrassment to robots everywhere.
Again, all this reveals the real fault of the series, which is not conveying Danny's true abilities to the audience clearly. I picked up on all his short comings as intentional characterization, while a lot of others just didn't get it…So vehement in their opinions that they can't even accpet it at this point.
Which…
I think you have to enjoy all 3 aspects of the show: comedians, cars and coffee. It's a trifecta of entertainment.
It's all about who you know…
Didn't the Andre 3000 Hendrix film murder rock star biopics for good? No? It should have.
Pfft…since when has any rock star biopic ever been good? They all suck. That's why we don't want this.
Value + Buckcherry does not compute.
In the past 2 years, there will have been new albums from Slayer, Anthrax, Megadeath, Iron Maiden and now Metallica.
Its funny as hell to me, but maybe I'm just a Cross fanboy or something.
So you want them to adapt It Always Sunny's rendition of Lethal Weapon 5 & 6?
