Eek, people like the Scully Era now? I dislike all of those episodes greatly and they would easily make my bottom 20 (from episodes up until season 15 when I stopped watching regularly).

That still leaves Kill The Alligator And Run, Monty Can't Buy Me Love, A Tale of Two Springfields, The Frying Game, Homer Simpson in Kidney Trouble, Maximum Homerdrive as more reasonable contenders than Whacking Day.

This episode falls into line with several other late season 4 episodes that have very thin plots with lots of padding and seem a bit sloppily put together (Marge In Chains and The Front are similar). Still extremely funny, but not top-tier Simpsons (that's to say, B+ material instead of A).

I know it sounds stupid, but I'm honestly somewhat disappointed. I thought if nothing else she'd at least be cool with gays. That's pretty much the only bad thing I didn't expect her to be.
