Yeah, it's not some actual brilliant strategy — they're just incompetent and willing to lie about anything, and it's taken the media this long to BEGIN to know how to handle it.

*faints*

It's disappointing. I've given up on hoping for good gay shows after seeing how Looking was received. It wasn't perfect at first and didn't cover every single person's queer experience, so it was apparently necessary to hate it right off the bat.

My first thought upon finishing was that it didn't really feel like an endpoint, but I can get behind this interpretation. (Loved the season.)

It's silly to blame South Park for anything, sure, but I think the point is that the reason Clinton was remotely as unpopular as Trump was bullshit both-sides-ism as seen constantly across entertainment and media in 2016, including South Park.

James Comey juuuust nudging him across the finish line. What a guy!

By a lot. I agree with people that Girls and the Hannah character are the worst, yada yada, but jesus, Lena Dunham didn't trap the lead singer of Fun with her "money and fame." They're probably (gasp) actually happy.

1984 again, because I'm a basic progressive.

Avoiding news the hour or two before bed; attending protests when possible, but recognizing it's not sustainable to go to one every other day.

Isn't it more that he realized, fuck, we're the bad guys? Hence not massacring those villagers.

Yes, the Trump administration will surely have robust classified info/IT practices. All signs are pointing to competence. Great take.

Really, really regret the time I spent watching this one.

*screaming into the void*

Yeah, great point, there are a lot of Trump supporters who can actually explain why his policies make sense.

Ahh, the "both sides" argument comes out within minutes. Executive orders were necessary for Obama in many cases because of unprecedented GOP obstruction, the likes of which we've never seen before.

The primary wasn't rigged, and one administration was always going to be an ethical nightmare, and it's in power now! Thanks for the hot take, though.

Maybe a factor, but legacy media was AWFUL this past cycle. Broadcast networks famously dedicated more time to Hillary's emails than all other issues combined. Now we have Trump voters claiming they don't think he'll repeal Obamacare or defund PP.

It's bad because Russia worked to throw the election to Trump and now has a stooge in office who will let them get away with murder.

Thank you. Someone always has to show up and shake their head at liberals who do it too, but "fake news" is not a both sides problem.

Sounds like you did both the protesting and eating right! Thanks for getting out there.
