Probably because there is not much you can do with Chuckie. At least now with this insane gang plot line, Chuckie will at last be remembered. He will make it to the 3 episode next year tops before being written out

Last night's finale was a gut-punch and a huge set up for some deep writing for next season much like season 4.
There are no happy endings. Stop trying to reduce this great story to cliché.
