Story's FF movies were only two casting decisions, several million more dollars, and possibly a rewrite or two from being spot on. The tone is pretty close to what it needs to be and Grimm and Johnny were perfectly cast. Reed was pretty good, but you can hire most Hollywood guys to play an intelligent stick-in-the-mud.
