Interstellar wasn't a story told well. It was trite and mawkish nonsense dressed up in intelligent clothing.

Again it does look very pretty.

The only guy around I would have trusted with this is the Siccario/Arrival dude, who just finished shooting Blade Runner 2. Knows how to tell a story to adults and make it look handsome, too.

If I were in the same situation I would also wake up the pretty lady. I'm ok with the moral implications.
I wouldn't tell her I was responsible, though. I'm a monster, not an idiot.

but it's a show about a guy who wears that suit. it's also going to give him a much-needed edge when it comes to not bleeding everywhere - and it looks like the Murdock of season one wouldn't get too far in season two.

the reason the costume sucked in season 1 was because it was just suddenly there. we weren't used to it and suddenly it arrived - ugh, we're watching a show about silly costumes now?
starting a season WITH the costume (and it DOES look much better) won't lead to that jarring moment that yanked us out of the story.

so… yet another review that reads like a C-, at best, but gets a significantly higher grade. B- suggests that there are a bunch of things to enjoy here; but you'd never guess it from the review.
all episodes of The Expanse got the same decent-ish grade, despite the fact the reviewer didn't seem to much care for it and

"…without Del Toro in the director’s chair." - oh, what the fu….
"…will instead be directed by former Daredevil showrunner…" - oh, well now i'm not as pissed for some reason.
also, the criticism that he isn't grounded in movies? Daredevil was, pretty much, one really long movie. and a good one at that.
