Gosh I miss the Lauren Faust days of that show. My interest in the show plummeted after they literally blew up that beautifully designed treehouse and replaced it with that castle monstrosity.

Yeah, taking them to Earth would actually be really cruel.

You know, I would phase out the zoo gradually. I wouldn't have the heart to free them. They can't survive on earth.

Like the dude from CSI: Miami, but with better acting.

My wisdom is deep! Only fools believe I'm just space smut. 50 Shades got nothin' on me.

They have their own electricity by magic, right? It's like when Steven asked Garnet how the washing machine and dryer worked way up in the hand of the temple.

Reminds me a little of the Guru episode of Avatar. Fortunately, Stevonnie doesn't have to drink onion and banana juice.

You know, I have often thought that this show is heavily influenced in tone by Fred Rogers and Jim Henson; especially in its aknowledgement of negative emotions and weighty subject matter, juxtaposed with its obvious care for (but not pandering to) its young audience. That, and the jazzy end theme. It's really great

Brigand *wishes* it was Passions of Xanxor.

I agree with you. I really applaud this show for its ambition, but all shows live inside our own world's context, even if the in-show paradigm is different. It's an issue I had with Sugilite as well. I was like, "Really? Why does Opal get to look beautiful, and Sardonyx demonic?"

It would solve the mystery of why Rose was so ding-dang powerful and multitalented. It's still head scratching why all this would be given to one Quartz— though, I wonder how many powers a gem can cultivate on their own with the appropriate creativity and dedication. It seems more and more that the rigid gem culture

Yeaaaaaaaaah!

Perfect description for all my art.

Well…I require time to digest that.

I think there were plenty of Crystal Gems during the war who agreed with Bismuth. Bismuth was famous and popular among the rebels. Unfortunately, her worldview was incompatible with Rose's. For the sake of unity, it would make sense to poof and bubble her, even if it's kinda shady to keep all of that a secret from

You get a Pearl Point.

I thought the "apologize" thing was from anime. The Sailor Moon-esque pre-beatdown shame fest.

Heh!

Yeah, but Jasper saw through that that right away.

I think the Gem Destabilizer looking like a tuning fork is telling. The wailing stone is like a big bell. Vibrations and harmonics seem to be what their tech is based on.
