Two thoughts. 1. I don't think Randall Tarly is as moved against his Tyrell oath by the option for Warden of the South, but by his prejudice against "lesser" peoples. The ONLY thing we know of him previously is that he is SUPER judgmental. He judges Sam because he's not "man" enough, and he is intensely prejudiced…
