I think the writer meant that the door to the plane was "unsecure" and not "insecure".

I was referring to the original "Bewitched" TV show that aired in the 60's.

You might have to clarify who Gladys Kravitz was. I don't know any 20 somethings that would know who she was or even what "Bewitched" was. But a good analogy though.
