It is without a doubt one of the best of the new comics. Hearing Kanan's speech and having read that comic was such an emotional event for me.

That's how I feel. I think the chips were an excellent choice in terms of story. It never sat well with me that these men who served with and trusted their generals would suddenly decide to gun them down without question.

I'm thinking there are a rare few left who didn't let their conscience or guilt get the better of them. They'd still have to deal with the super-aging though.

Clones age rapidly and therefore become unfit for duty much more quickly than a standard recruit. Dave Filoni also mentioned that a lot of clones were afflicted with ptsd or deep regret after murdering their generals.
