I remember them garnering the designation "emo" even during their time, which I think was when the umbrella of "emo" started to expand (similar to how 'hipster' expanded to include pretty much everyone cooler than whoever threw the invective). They certainly weren't full-on emo, but they check some of the boxes.
I'd love to see a Run The Series including the other two; The Spy Who Shagged me came out when I was in middle school and I'd been under the impression that it was the superior movie, yet I've seen it relentlessly maligned here and in other reputable publications.
