Saw it at a screening, loved it. Hope it plays this year but it currently has an April '18 release date which doesn't make sense to me.

Scott Pilgrim and Ramona Flowers

He's only all-powerful if he's right about who walks through that door though…

LEGION

Pretty sure this episode is what puts him in the chair. Heart attack/stroke/hard hit to the head on the pavement. He'll probably be in a coma and wake up like the Tio we know.

No mention of X2, LOTR: Return Of The King or Ang Lee's Hulk movie? But you mention Paycheck?

"I always thought that Kill Bill Vol. I owed a hell of a lot to Oliver Stone's 'Natural Born Killers'"

Giving up at the last second is defintely a viable possibility, since it clearly looks like she's about to say something before the smash cut. But I also think it's possible that the machine does nothing at all, and she just essentially faked her death and started a new life.

It's more likely that the machine doesn't do ANYTHING at all. And 150 or so people just did exactly what I think Nora did. Get in a pod full of water, nothing happens, then they get out and live a completely new life, having faked their deaths and all.

That's my general read, too. She's probably lying but Kevin's with her either way.

And you know it's completely true…how? At the very least, could you concede that there is some ambiguity there?

Exactly the same conversation we had about the ending (not about a general disdain for the populace, mind you). I am 100% convinced Nora's story is a lie. I'll go one further: I believe the machine does nothing, and that it IS just water in the pod. I think absolutely nothing happened and she just held her breath for

or he still had it and that junkyard guy truly doesn't give a fuck. He watched the dude tear apart his own car and asked no questions

Panic attack that winds up in an emergency room visit that probably outs him as Goodman and gets him caught?

You have an Other Notable Action Films of 1997 section and you don't even MENTION Starship Troopers or Grosse Point Blank?????

It's particularly weird that in the Other Notable Action Films list for 1997 there isn't even a mention of STARSHIP TROOPERS or GROSSE POINT BLANK.

Yeah, at the end he would have to give a rating.

This movie is just not very good at all unfortunately. Love Werner but even the greats misfire sometimes.

I think it's his 4th best behind Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill. But that's pretty damn good placement nonetheless!

Death Proof does have some of the greatest stunt work ever committed to film. Can't say the same about Planet Terror, entertaining as it is.
