YESSSSS TO PSH WINNING

Waltz was a LEAD actor in Django. Category fraud is what got him the win.

And the strudel scene, and the climactic theater showdown. Those 4 scenes account for nearly half the runtime. It's a masterpiece.

Actually, I'll just say it is better than 9. It's the best of the 4 FXX seasons thus far.

Season 12 is better than 10 or 11. Could be about as good as or better than 9 also.

Fucking tiny, like his hands. :)

You know who "gives a care"? DONALD FUCKING TRUMP. And he gives a "fuck", not a "care". He really, really, really, REALLY gives a fuck about this.

The true difference is massive. YUGE. Thousands-of-people-level difference. Not even close. Your argument that "if you show the photos at the exact same time" somehow Trump's would look better is like the "but it's cold outside!" argument when referring to the diminished size of one's….you get the picture. At any time

I like that as well.

I disagree that the flashbacks (actually flash forwards) have NOTHING to do with what's going on. On a story level they are juxtaposing her going over school lessons with her daughter with developing language with the aliens. The movie is using those flash forwards in the way you would use a flashback to demonstrate

The aliens know a version of the future, but there is still choice involved. Like, for example, her choice to go to term and raise that girl despite knowing what will eventually happen is actually part of why a crisis is averted. So is her choice to tell her husband what is going to happen, as well as every other

Arrival IS pretty great though

Sure, it's a character study. Lenny is a shitty person with zero redeeming qualities and nothing to humanize him at this early juncture of the show. 2 episodes in and I really am done watching this piece of shit be an asshole to everyone. If you've seen the whole show you can tell me whether there's a point to all of

13TH
THE NICE GUYS
SING STREET
LOVING
SULLY

So the Emoji Movie is just a lame knock off of Inside Out meets Wreck-It Ralph.

"although Joel Edgerton has received acclaim for his role in Nichols’ Loving (also released this year), his laconic supporting performance [in Midnight Special] is arguably his finest work."

1. LA LA LAND
2. ARRIVAL
3. MANCHESTER BY THE SEA
4. THE LOBSTER
5. MOONLIGHT
6. HELL OR HIGH WATER
7. GREEN ROOM
8. 13TH
9. SILENCE
10. THE NICE GUYS
11. ELLE
12. THE WITCH
13. SING STREET
14. MIDNIGHT SPECIAL/LOVING
15. JACKIE
16. CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR
17. THE ACCOUNTANT/LIVE BY NIGHT
18. KUBO AND THE TWO STRINGS
19. NOCTURNAL

Yeah I had a hard time picking a moment from Elle. So much to see there.

Great moment

Most people haven't seen this one yet, but I can say that Rodriguez's conversation with The Inquisitor in Silence is definitely deserving of this list.
