Played the beginning of Super Mystery Dungeon today. Really, really, enjoying it. There were a lot of things that frustrated me about GTI that I couldn't put my finger on. I think my biggest disappointment was the lack of connection I felt to my partner. One of the joys of Sky was watching my partner face his fears

I've never really been able to get into Bethesda games, for some reason. Both Skyrim and FO3 failed to capture my interest. However I want to start a new RPG, so I may just bite the bullet and get the game around Christmas. I've contemplated the Witcher 3, but I feel my disdain for Geralt would spoil the experience.

This is the earliest I've ever been to a WAYPTW. Woo, confetti, and whatnot.

I thought Atlus was going for an anti-hero vibe.

The combat in KHII is a blast. Love love love it. Everything else… eh. Although Roxas grew on me, I found most of the Organization to be really annoying. A lot of the Disney worlds feel peripheral and unneeded. Pirates was a terrible addition. Changing Atlantica from a a semi-interesting underwater world to a

I had a hard time connecting to the characters in P3. Especially since I played it after P4. They lacked the same depth I thought… not helped by the fact that not everyone got a social link. But I did love a lot of things about the setting in P3. Evokers are still super cool and I'm sad they got rid of them.

Meh, psychic type was utterly broken in 1st gen. So many pokemon were unbalanced due to the lack of a physical/special split (flareon in particular comes to mind).

I'd love to see Bioware try their hand at a horror title, actually. There is always at least one section in a Bioware game that succeeds in raising the hair on the back of my neck.

I couldn't stand the wave combat. Turned me off DAII completely. =(

If only we could take the best from all three games to make one super game! Personally I would take the origins aspect from the first, the small scale, personal setting from the second, and the companions from the third. Now that would be pretty great. No idea what to do about combat though, haha.

Still playing Reborn. I just beat Florinia. It took forever because I didn't have a fire type to counter her Ferrothorn. It kept taking out the majority of my Pokemon, making her Cradily near impossible to defeat. I just got an Emolga, however, and it knows double team, baton pass, and nuzzle. Like, the ultimate troll

I'm the same way, regarding Inquisition. I started off really liking the game (one of the few who enjoyed the Hinterlands!) but as time progressed I just found myself growing bored with it. Even dragon hunting isn't fun anymore as my warrior soaks up all damage easily.

I'll never understand the fans who place DA:O on a pillar while tearing down the other two games. Outside of the companions and the idea of different origins (not all of which were executed well — looking at you, city elf), the game was boilerplate, boring, generic fantasy with a tedious combat system.

What I loved about The Last of Us is that it didn't weaken the narrative with wishy-washy "your choice matters" bullshit. Naughty Dog wanted to tell a specific story about two characters and they told it. The end. I wish more story-driven games were like that.

Haha, I'm not alone! Yeah, the writing needs work, although they've taken steps to improve it in the recent update at least. It's still a WIP so things are constantly being changed, but I really like how ambitious the game is.

Still play Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2. It has a very nice soundtrack, as do most Pokémon games in general. Also playing through Pokémon Reborn, a fan made game. I wouldn't call the writing great, but it is kind of refreshing to have something so tonally different from the main series. Plus I love the field effects, sue

I talked myself into replaying Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky for the umpteenth time. I wrote a novel on it already, so I'll just copy/past my thoughts on it.

Meh, every mainline Pokemon game I've ever played has been linear, not just the recent ones. I remeber discussing this with someone on another forum, but it would've been cool if they'd made Lumiose a hub town, and allowed you to pick and choose the order in which you challenged gym leaders.

Man, I hated the combat in DAII. Origins combat wasn't great but it never got me to quit like 2 did. I would finish killing all the guys and then another wave would come flying down from nowhere. It just got so exhausting and tedious. I ended up watching a playthrough of 2 online, and I don't regret it. Dragon Age
