I would agree, if only because he should have been nominated for a bunch of roles, including I Love You Phillip Morris and Dumb & Dumber. There, I said it.

In Jackson's defence, he did build a small industry in New Zealand and kept a lot of people employed by bringing blockbusters there.

The absence of women on this list looms large. Male directors can still make it to the big pay cheques after a string of flops. It helps if they're white of course.
