Satire. The word you're looking for is "satire."

It's weird where things like that click. For me, Ghost Dad is when I suddenly became aware of the 3-act structure.

It was restored as much as they could. There are moments where they show unrestored film or ones they couldn't fix.

It really doesn't feel too long. I only figured it was about to end when the timeline was catching up to the now. Moved very quickly; but as I noted elsewhere the topics are right up my alley so I was fully invested.

I saw this at SIFF this year. One of my favorites of the festival (which is still going, ends Sunday). As a history and film (and history of film) person, it hit all my passions. Just beautiful to see these well restored films from a time where most of the films were lost to time.

Get Out; Split; XX; Blackcoat's Daughter, I'm not at home in this world anymore; Girl with All the Gifts. All of these are between good to great. Raw comes out this weekend and Personal Shopper is playing in limited release. Cure for Wellness was okay with good moments and bad. Kong: Skull Island has horror roots

I'm in the minority as I did not like is movie overall. I saw it at the Seattle International film Fest in June. I felt it was missing a 3rd act, it's all build up but peters when it could have gotten far more interesting.

I saw it at SIFF this year and found it to be one of the best of festival. All the points are spot on above though, outside of the ending it's continually compelling with incredible leads.
