I don't understand why a settlement should be considered anything other than an admission of guilt. You can't have it both ways. You can't pay people to shut up and simultaneously expect society to give you the benefit of the doubt. Fuck that.

Just read through this entire five year old thread to see if anyone mentioned the 1968 Planet of The Apes, a brilliant adaptation of the original Pierre Boule novel which though absolutely fine in its own right is improved upon in many notable ways. Boule himself said he wished he had though of Serling's brilliant,

I think that's still a valid criticism to this day. By extension, I always felt like there's nothing all that interesting about the plot of the film in general. The things that hold it together (and they are not small things) are sumptuous, brilliant visual coherence and impeccable soundtrack choices. Of course those
