I therefore assume that Clark's ten year career was, therefore, made up
of fighting this universe's version of villains that are usually
    Supergirl's?

That's pretty insightful. I wonder also how much his own level of power helps her do that. She must feel like she's living in a world of paper most of the time and the people around her she could swat into a wall in an instant. Whilst that level of power over them doesn't need to alter how she relates to them

I'd hardly say that Wynn is going for a Supergirl standin. He contributed very little to the seduction and basically just stood there going "okay" whilst the alien woman walked up and aggressively hit on him. And I'm fine with that. :)

Totally agree. Plus a little respect for the fact the guy was putting his life on the line to protect others in this duel scenario, please!

And actually, a very large number of women would approve of their boyfriend seeing off other guys that they weren't interested in. It's mostly a problem when your boyfriend does it to guys who actually aren't harrassing you (boyfriend is over-protective) or you actually do want the guy (boyfriend is inconvenient).

Sub-par? Not to be shallow, but Mon-El is gorgeous. He's also very witty and confident and clearly very loyal to her. These are all great traits. And he can do a thousand push-ups. That's pretty hot.

I'm the opposite. Not sure it's the different orientation or not, but I don't think so as I've been very emotionally engaged in lesbian romance stories before. It may partly be that I neither find Maggie attractive physically nor like her as a person so I'm inclined to think Alex should be with someone better. But

    I was / am a good-hearted douchebag. (I think). :)

And a thing that he said tonight that made me do a double take: "Things
were a lot easier on Daxam when I objectified women and didn’t care
about anyone." I mean, what a dreamboat. Right, ladies!!!

They should have made Mon-El actually naked. That would have been even funnier with Hank's neutral delivery and Mon-El just standing there annoyed.

I'm fine with Black Lightning so long as, like in Young Justice, his lightning is actually black.

Or maybe she should accept that they see off threats to their relationship or to her as a couple / team, rather than send him home making it very clear to him that they are not a united front. Mon-El gets angrier and angrier the more he is excluded from the interactions between his rival and him. Understandably so. A

"My name is Barry Allen, and I am the rashest man alive."

If we're at the point where diving in front of energy beams to protect the girl you fancy is condemned because you should do what she tells you to instead, then romance is officially dead. As an analogy for not trusting someone or thinking they're capable of managing without you, it works and so I'm okay with it

On the other hand, always subsuming your own judgement under someone else's is not a good thing, either. Maybe the audience can see that the show is called "Supergirl" but Mon-El doesn't know that he's supposed to do what Supergirl tells him everytime.

Agree on Mon-El's behaviour. I get that it's annoying to many women to have guys going full male-stag in front of them (though I've dated two girls who loved it and I'm sure there are plenty more). But yes, his behaviour was very relateable to anyone who has ever gotten into a fight over a girl and really pretty

A true bloke, to be more accurate. :) I loved that bit.

I was genuinely impressed with the plan Supergirl came up with to make, fuck it - I'm not even going to try to spell that - the imp, say his name backwards. Clever, plausible and you couldn't see it coming until it was right in front of you. Major points to the writers for that.

Ah, until about when I read your comment pointing it out. :o

But more wacky than they had to.
