And he's absolutely right. Violence is not the right way to carry on debate. And if you don't want to debate, then simply don't engage. Might makes right is a terrible approach. I'm reminded of the very excellent scene in A Man For All Seasons which is a timely reminder for anyone who thinks they should put aside law

Well that's not from the art above you referenced now, is it? And where's yours that you can do better with a sharpie? Link to your own work and we'll see about a retraction.

The kids here remind me of the 19 year old Northeastern white girls who
started shouting Kendrick lyrics at, and shoving, black Atlanta police
during an undocumented rights protest I was helping with.

Don't know what Dan's problem is, i would go stealing with Ella every night.

Wait - are they going ahead with Justice League Dark, then? And if so are they actually going to cast Matt Ryan as John Constantine? He's perfect in the role and absolutely should be cast, even if the movie and Arrowverse are "separate" universes.

Absolutely. Having Peter Parker be a penniless photographer living with his aunt for thirty years is fine when comics are something people read between eight and thirteen and then move on. But now adults (of a kind ;) ) are reading them and continuity matters, things have to evolve. And this was handled extremely well.

Go on then. Lets see. :)

For spoilers use angle brackets "< >" rather than square brackets "[ ]".

This is Triana, my daughter. Relish her and spend ALL ETERNITY BANISHED TO THE NETHER REALMS OF OSIRIS!

Well he has one that can turn him human, so the superficial detail of skin pigmentation and some very minor cosmetic details such as hair fibre thickness and tweaking facial bones a few milimetres ought to be easy mode for it.

Sleeping with patients. Breaking doctor-patient confidentiality. Failure to report to the police matters of life endangerment. Giving free therapy.

You've reminded me of Uriel's whispered words to Lucifer. We actually find out what they were in this episode.

Superior Spiderman was great for some similar reasons as Hydra Cap is - it treated the subject intelligently and didn't make its antagonists - forgive the term - comic book villains. Ock-Spiderman was someone genuinely trying to do good and was, genuinely, more effective than Peter Parker in many ways. But he was

Also, in English the name of the druid is Getafix. :)

That's a great clip. My respect for Obama rose considerably with that speech.

The thing is, I can't imagine a better way of humanising the enemy than making Cap their mouthpiece. In the comic it is extremely effective.

I think one thing the author might be complaining about is that, to my reading at least, it put some of the blame for events on the people who supposedly are the Good Guys. It almost explicitly states that you can't just declare someone racist and dismiss them. That there are real reasons why people are concerned

Comics are a medium. They can convey fun. They can also provide drama, tension or insight. Condeming a comic for having mature themes or not focusing on fun is no better than condemning it for being upsetting and too close to the truth.

What? That was an extremely progressive and positive comic. Lois Lane is trying to write an article about race but finds a lot of people wont talk to her because she's White and that she can't really get the insights that she wants. So she uses one of Superman's machines to change her race for a day and finds out how

Having read the issue that the leading page is taken from (The Oath #1), this article is, imo, really seeing what it wants to see and not remotely doing the comic justice. The entire thing should be read. It's one of the best Captain America speeches ever. Maybe the best. And it's spot on. It's a message that many
