In such cases, I just wait until the R rated version is available and buy it once. I want the first (and often only) time I watch a film to be the best it can be. A re-watch seldom has the same impact so I keep that first viewing for the best version I think will come out.

I don't think they did any CG to make her look Japanese and I'm honestly not sure why they would. If it was important to them that the character look Japanese they should have just hired a Japanese actress.

    willy-nilly. :)

Me: Makes crack about Left wing not able to take a joke.
Left-winger: Immediate dispute and citations to prove it can't be so.

For a moment I thought he'd just drunkenly fallen asleep on the evidence bag and cut himself.

Last time I saw him was Rocky IV. I think I get a pass.

I think perhaps the way you're using "uncanny" is not lining up with what I take the word to mean. Uncanny means sort of strange or mysterious or unsettling, and especially it has vaguely supernatural connotations. I think you just mean inappropriate or wrong?

That was Dolph Lundgren? I recognize him now you say it but at the time I was just thinking "wow - they really went out and found someone scary for the role. I wonder if he's even an actor or just an actual killer they broke out of jail". Dude is imposing.

I wouldn't say uncanny, myself. I mean Ollie is extremely good looking and pretty darn cool even if you weren't a vigilante-afficionado already. Find me a seventeen year old girl who wouldn't make googly-eyes at the hot, protective, hurt-but-tough, playboy-but-committed mayor-saviour with a noble goal and a salmon

They need a character who can take care of that stuff. Someone to say things like "I restocked the supply drop on 5th and Main, oh - and I collected those trousers you had to abandon near the mall. I've also found us a dry cleaner who'll remove bloodstains without asking questions…" A hero needs someone like that.

You're right. I had doubts after posting that and went back to check. I was hoping to ninja-edit before anyone spotted it! Dagnabbit! :) My bad.

    6 Ins is perfectly respectable.

    Was her surname Derkins?

I found it hilarious when Ragman objected to Artemis being offered hooch on the grounds that "she's seventeen". Oh American puritanism and morality - where would we be without your horrendous inconsistencies and weird arbitrariness!

Whether he is the killer or whether he turns out to be a regular angel with a heart of gold, I still think it's bone-headed of Felicity to tell him. Not to mention unfair to Oliver. See this is what happens when you're raised solely on a diet of Disney movies! Does anyone else think endless premature Faith in People

It's true. But I'm willing to cut the show some slack because they do at least try. Like Felicity's off-hand comment to Curtis about his help to get the gas chromatograph back online. Which is an attempt to explain why two episodes earlier she needs her boyfriend's crimelab facilities to analyse ragman's cloth and

I'm sure this is blasphemy on this site, but racists are people too. You can have a conversation with a racist. And sometimes even change their mind. A good read is the book Klandestine Relationships which is a story by a Black man who set out to talk to and understand the KKK. Are you going to tell him that he should

All of those jokes were told for the benefit of people who already disliked Trump. That is the issue. If your jokes boil down to "lets laugh at someone because we don't like them", that's not going to change a single mind amongst those who don't share your dislike. Also, the Right is usually more able to laugh at

No, of course not. We're saying that the people who didn't vote for Trump but also didn't vote for Hillary, might have voted for Sanders. And with some good reasons to say that. Also, nobody used the term "mopped the floor", I think. We're just saying that it could well have made a difference.

Not so far away for some of us.
