I think Donald Trump is a blow-hard who is all mouth and no trousers and will do what people tell him should he be elected. He'll be so out of his depth as president that yes, I think the chances of him squaring off with Putin over Syria or the Ukraine are lower than Hilary who has a history of pro-war positions. And

Most of your post is just calling me a liar and a racist and telling me to fuck myself. All because I call the two-party system in the USA a trap. So I'll just comment on one thing that I feel like commenting on which is where you call it a lie to say Hillary is a warmonger / hawkish. In her time as Secretary of State

Ah, I'm not in the USA and we don't have Hulu where I am. But maybe I can track it down with your information. Cognitive Dissonance is something of a fascination of mine and putting supporters (and I'm glad it's from both candidates) in a situation where they voluntarily try to rationalise terrible things is right up

That sounds fascinating. Where can I find this?

And as another citizen of an actual other country, I would prefer Trump to win. Hillary is very hawkish. Trump may be a horrible human being but he's an isolationist loudmouth who I don't think would try to lead US to further domination in the Middle East and attempt to build up more military power in Asia. He thinks

Well Harambe isn't necessarily a good choice being dead and all, but these people are voting against a two-party system that offers viable choice. We know from leaked emails that Hillary camp instructed their friends in the media to treat Trump seriously from the start. They wanted him to secure the nomination because

Heh. That's a nice idea. It reminds of the Pratchett novel Masquerade:
Granny Weatherwax: "How do you know it was the same person?"
Stagehand: "Well, he were wearing a mask…".

    >>"Because whether or not it's consummated in this particular movie or not, she's clearly in the love interest role."

Nobody has mentioned The Fearless Vampire Killers. Which is understandable because it's hard to compare comedies to serious movies. But it's one of my favourite films and an absolute masterpiece of slow-paced comedy. It's especially impressive that he was able to act in it and direct it which fatally flaws most fims

So it's true - the Dungeon Master is a satanist. Jack Chick was right! What did you do to Black Leaf, you fiend!

Why compare Jane Foster with Rachel McAdams' character in the first placel? The female lead in DS is surely Tilda Swinton.

I think the simple fact that she is contentedly living an entire life without the absence of Strange impacting that is a pretty strong suggestion (note lack of capitals) that she is not defined by her feelings for Strange. We don't need to see her playing dominoes or something to go "Ah-ha! See how she does something

The Snyder DC movies are not all bad. For me it consists of shaking my head for long periods of time going "nononononono…" until we reach the sole good element of the movie and then repeat.

So long as you're not in a cinema.

Well, I'm not going to argue any greater point than I've already made, I think your response is reasonable. I read your posts a lot on these forums and find them pretty sensible myself, so I've no great disagreement on your points, just posting my thoughts.

Her personality is not defined primarily by her feelings towards Strange. She seemed to have a personality that wasn't based around him to me. She has her life which is clearly shown not to depend on his. In fact she's surprised when he suddenly shows up again after a long absence. She's been living her life just fine

I think that's more a sign of young people than anything else. The fact that people under the age of 23 know everything is something that crosses through all cultures, I think. I've met just as many people who think they're special because they know UNIX as because they know yoga or whatever. It's about the person.

Okay, fair enough then. I'm just seeing a lot of comments about how Strange is 'supposed' to be like Stark but 'isn't as good'. My problem is with the conjecture that he's supposed to be like Stark in the first place.

Uh, Tilda Swinton does "resemble a woman" because she is one. I think what you mean is that she doesn't have long hair and make-up, and possibly that she is wearing baggy clothes. Which again, is a positive that we get a woman who doesn't have to have a style like Black Widow to be in a Marvel movie.

This is what keeps you from greatness.
