I sincerely hope that they got Lola off of it before they blew it to kingdom come though. That thing survived DEATHLOCK for crying out loud, it would be a shame for it to go out as a diversion.

The Sandwich is to AOS, what Bear is to POI. The writer's have to keep them out of the spotlight otherwise they would just dominate the whole thing.
This episode featured the phrase "we are in a shooting war".
I know these awards are usually meaningless and/or don't exist, but I think Cameron Bicondova should win something for "most improved performance". I remember the good ol' days, back at the beginning of the show when all she used to do was cat-stuff and deliver her lines choppily. Ever since she started interacting…
I'm not sure whether the Jaqen reveal was a change from the books (where the Kindly Man's identity is still ambiguous), or a spoiler for TWOW/ADOS. I really hope that it's the former, because the latter would take away somewhat from the fact that every goddamn mentor that Arya has is just the fucking best.
Don't we already have "That's My Harry!"? What's going on with that?
Oh no, no. That was Phil Dyess-Nugent. I am very happy to say that he hasn't been covering POI for a while now.
"The show is never going to be about anything BUT Reese and Finch and their two-man salvage operation…"
Found that little beauty on the "Baby Blue" review (and that was one of the better episodes of Season 1 too).
"The part where he admits why he left Jessica and that he chose the job over her - that it was selfish, and a horrible mistake - was brutal in its honesty."
It reminded me a lot of the scene in "Felina" where Walt finally admits to Skyler that he became Heisenberg because he liked it (obviously, though, Reese is more…
I'm trying SO hard not to blow my wad before the season finale (it's called "YHWH", as if "Deus Ex Machina" wasn't a cool enough god reference), but dammit, this has got to be the fourth episode this season that's made me want to This Fucking Show.
I think the old-schoolness was one of the biggest facets of what made…
THANK YOU. I absolutely refuse to call her Lee, and I still can't abide the fact that they decided to make her Gordon's love interest. If you're gonna set up Leslie Thompkins with anyone it should be Alfred, goddammit. He's the only character on this show that I genuinely like apart from Bullock.
Not to mention the…
Who's to say that Root doesn't have training of her own? I like to think that after she avenged her friend she went on a Bruce Wayne-esque world tour/ extended training montage that made her the badass that she is today. Maybe she doesn't have formal training, but you don't get to roll with the likes of Reese and Shaw…
- "Sorry, John. Places to go, people to kill"
- Celebratory cigar
- Demonic eye death glow (his life- part of it, anyway- LITERALLY flashed before his eyes).
- "Is that my computer?"
- "When the time comes for me to pick up a firearm, all will truly be lost"
- Root versus Martine (thank god, we finally get to see Amy…
Yeah, as far as I can tell, the episode she was in ("one day, one room") was really polarising. You either loved it or you hated it (and, by extension, her). I was one of the former, so I've been hoping that she would get more exposure ever since.
I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm just saying that it proves that the MCU has
1. A thing for diners.
2. Writers with excellent taste in movies.
The whole Marvel Television Universe seems to love it when dramatic shit happens in diners. One of the best scenes in Agent Carter was that fantastic (and surprisingly chirpy) diner fight.
Ooh, I didn't consider that, that's cool. I also liked that idea someone put forward that the Machine used Caleb's compression algorithm to transfer itself onto the cloud, and then started wirelessly parasitizing Samaritan. That would explain why it's so interested in him now and fulfill that "day-one exploit"…
That's the thing, though. How exactly would the Machine communicate inconspicuously with Harper using that alias? We've already seen the ridiculous precautions it takes to communicate with the core team members alone (e.g. talking to Root through TV static. Ffs, they can't even say the word Samaritan on a sat phone),…

Generally, I would agree with you, but I tend to give AOS a pass on small stuff like this. Yes, it's a spy show, but it's one set in the Marvel Universe. If what's happening is fun/exciting/a reference/all of the above, then I can forgive a little implausibility and/or goofiness.
