I just cracked open Padma Lakshmi's memoir, "Love, Lost and What We Ate." About a hundred pages in and I've gotta' say, she's a decent writer and hasn't held much back about her marriage to (and divorce from) Salmon Rushdie.

She's had a couple of shots to make a restaurant project work and nothing has stuck. If this pattern continues, it makes sense for her to do another turn on TC to keep her name out there for potential restaurant partners to see.

God, I hope Sysco does not read AVClub. If any organization could run a cheeseburger dumpling into the ground it would be some mega-food service corporation.

Cruel and unusual punishment to jump into a Elimination QF after getting off the boat.

Don't worry, they'll trot her out for "Top Chef Season 15: Nostalgia Edition"

Yeah, that dish looked like something made by a Dairy Queen employee on his first today at work.

Producers must have been happy with Jamie and Casey in LCK. Easy to play up the redemption story of either contestant.

Sylva was an easy chef to root for given his skills, demeanor and backstory. Sorry to see him go but that dish was definitely worthy of a ticket out of the competition.

Katsuji looks like a Treasure Troll doll that didn't make it to production due to concerns from the legal department. Jim on the other hand looks like a Treasure Troll destined to become a Holiday season best seller.

Friends don't let friends cook on Dramamine

Padma wearing a hat > Padma wearing denim overalls . . . Backwards

I've read that as well. Salmon Rushdie's comments about her (after they divorced) did not paint the picture of a nice person.

Just watched the latest Last Chance Kitchen and my take away is . . . Emily make Eeyore look like Tony Robbins.

Either she is showing us her dark side this year or the editors decided to show more of it.

This is dead accurate. The promos for the other Bravo shows are hilarious.

DVR set. Show-priority moved to #1.

She also made a racy comment about the blindfold in the QFC.

Ink is the name of the restaurant. It recently rebooted to more of a steakhouse

Shirley seems very solid both skill wise and maturity wise. Too bad that sort of thing makes for meh TV.

John is self-aware. John has worked to better himself. Katusji seems self-aware. He doesn't give a fuck. He's out for himself.
