I love Maverick. I just do.

Seconded
I completely agree with Rabin on this one. I was pretty much obsessed with Friends in Low Places but could not abide Brooks' other stuff. He even made "To Make You Feel My Love" terrible.
10-4!
Oh, I definitely noticed that, as well. I literally had my hair in a poodle perm for a year and responded to my parents with exasperation and "Whatever I feel like doing" for far too long. That movie is eerie.
This sounds like something I would enjoy and/or obsess about for the next six months.
I still defend Napoleon Dynamite as the movie that actually portrays what it was like (for some of us) to be awkward in high school. We're not all wacky, lovable nerds. Some of us were just bored and annoyed all the time.
DAWES!
I don't think I ogle, but I do get goosebumps every time I see a clip of Mary Lou Retton's vault from 1984. It's like an adrenaline shot of nostalgia.
You forgot George Hamilton. Wasn't he the "Extra Crispy" colonel?
Our teacher skipped that frame and just said "They spent the night together."
Bad Ronald, I think, is the closest.
Heeeeere's Larry! Those first couple of years were so funny to me as a young teen. Lots of scenery chewing and physical comedy, no smart-ass kids. (When they started dating then marrying the blond stewardesses, it got pretty boring.) Nice to know this show is acknowledging it!
I enjoyed this except for the Emmit character. Too much of an affectation. I
This is the first season I decided to commit to. I tried to watch the first season, but I found the first episode kind of off-putting. This one really grabbed me. The Ray character and the police chief and son are very interesting to watch, so…
My uncle, who actually runs the New Jersey mafia, could probably get you one.

Don't even get us started on Tito and Shecky.
