I remember thinking some of it was funny. Also, fun fact, he recently came out as gay.

I really hoped this was a very late April fool's prank. I'm going to become one of those cranky "What happened to TV?" types very quickly. Please keep Murphy off my lawn.
Agreed. I'm not sure how much longer I can watch this disapproving mother-figure stuff. I guess they're playing to viewers like my mom, who just wants Sheldon to be "normal."
I had a cushy work-study job for awhile in college in which I signed in male visitors to the female dorm while watching TV. People came in while I was crying to the end of that "Who's the Boss?" episode where Ray Charles sings a sad song and the cast is crying. Nice welcome!
Me too. Total manipulation, but I fell for it.
Don't be distressed, my son.
I couldn't warm up to The Middle episode after that ridiculous school-year beginning stuff. (Don't you see buses on the road? Don't you talk to other people?) After binge-watching on Hulu, my daughter has become the biggest Goldbergs fan, and has dragged me along. I can't believe it took me this long to discover how…
I saw scenes from Steptoe on a clip show on YouTube. Seemed very depressing.
Me too! Weird
Yes. I was taken to see Grease at age 6. When I told my husband, he said there was no way he would let our daughter to see it at that age. Things change, I guess. I remember loving Coal Miner's Daughter, though. That was kind of a nice family movie day. Not Star Wars nice, but still.
I agree with your parents.
Goofy ball!
We, somehow, had an 8-track with all the dialogue from A New Hope. (???) I still don't know.
That line actually made me laugh out loud.
I grew up watching Joan and loved/hated her at various times, but always came back because her humor and persona were undeniably great.. One of the best stories I heard about her was in an AV Club inventory of comedians telling stories about other celebrities. A young comedian was opening for her, and the old folks in…
Ditto! I've loved this movie since I saw it at age 8.
Great Googa Mooga! Can't you hear me talkin to ya!
Umm. I thought "Ball of Confusion" was supposed to be serious. That takes me right out of the moment.
Tried to watch this but the "Mad-Men-ness" just became too much. I couldn't concentrate on what was happening because it was so much like it.
Maverick is a very entertaining movie! Also, I think I'm the only person on earth who, while never liking Saved by the Bell, actually enjoyed The College Years.
I have Ovation, and somehow I missed this as well. I'm glad I found this review!
