Thought Robbie was a pretty dull host / guest honestly, but I was actually surprised at how hard some of the sketches made me laugh, especially the presidential debate send-up. McKinnon is the best satirical iteration of Hilary across any medium I think and Alec Baldwin should get an Emmy for that impression.

Gross.

Agreed. I think that usual cliche of barely-there cardboard cut-out family used as a cheap attempt to encourage audience investment being avoided was one of the things I liked best about the movie. If only he hadn't been so incredibly hard to care about for so many other reasons.

Oh shit I just realized both have (or had) connections to the Mad Max franchise… Yeah, Thunderdome it. Preferably no men leave, because we just set it on fire.

Just going to assume the young woman on the back is his love interest, such as Hollywood is.

Because ghost blowjobs and menstruation jokes are definitely more highbrow. Cringy slapstick seduction scenes too.

It's a really good movie. Very spikey and cynical. None of Cody's usual uncanny valley dialogue. I only mention it because Patton Oswald and Charlize Theron bone in that movie.

I don't think that attitude is changing anytime soon honestly. At least this way it's takes just a little of the unfairness out. No reason a casting director would need to know age really, unless they're tying someone in for a multi-picture deal. And that won't ever be for small time actors.

Like we all wouldn't watch the fuck out of that movie.

People will joke, but for actresses especially this is a great thing. And I don't mean already establish actresses who's ages are already known, I mean actresses still trying to catch a break and are being sneakily discriminated against by casting directors who might throw their names out once they find out their ages.

I agree for act 3, but up to that point I thought they did a great job of making the visuals look retro while updated and stylized. I like that they overlaid cgi effects over real people in prosthetics like Del Toro did for the ghosts in Crimson Peak.

But that's the thing, MIB 1 was made on just $90 million and when they knew they had the audience there, they steadily ramped up the budget. To go straight into a new franchise with only a small in-built audience and nostalgia from the 80's rather than the more lucrative 90's and with such a big budget seemed to set

It would be. Made on $200 million and barely made $175 million back. A huge mistake to give any action comedy that kind of budget I think. I can't think of many high budget ones that have made good money back.

Do you want a hand with that chip on your shoulder? Looks heavy.

*slow clap for summation*

Well I mean they weren't wrong though.

Ooh ooh! I want to know what Margo Harshman is up to these days!

Are people still using the word "butthurt" unironically? I mean like, when they're over the age of 15? Good to know.

You haven't watched Young Adult I take it.
