Just because the book version of the rape was written as a NO NO NO NO OK "keep going until I get a yes" rape doesn't mean that it was somehow consensual. The show doesn't turn it into a rape, it shows it for what it was.

The big difference isn't that the sexual encounter was changed, it's that the perspective was. In the book, it was told from Jaime's view. That scene, when witnessed from the third person, probably looked exactly like that. I wouldn't describe his "love" as adoration, he doesn't adore Cersei, he is fixated on her in a…
