Can we go to a timeline where Barry isn't the absolute worst?

Would that have been more or less pathetic than saying "that way a piece of me will always be with you" to a guy who had pretty much always treated her like garbage? IDK IDK

I'm glad they're out of the snarky, miserable phase because when they're allowed to be partners they really work for me, but when they're on the outs the whole show suffers. I dislike the fact that they dangled more potential relationship drama right out of the gate with the boyfriend reveal (I'm truly surprised she's…

Thea is that friend who is constantly asking to borrow money, but when you need a couple dollars to get a snack, all of a sudden she can't find her wallet.

When she was talking about her Flashpoint life and said, "I love my brother," I was thinking…girl, you don't know the half of it.

I agree - this was a weird timeline to want to change. By and large apart from Joe being an alcoholic and what happened with Wally, his parents were alive, and everyone was pretty great. Cisco was rich, Caitlin hadn't lost Ronnie 100 times and then had that weird thing with Zoom. Strange storytelling decisions tonight.

This is the third review I've read where he wasn't mentioned at all.

If you want the show to get back to its S2 feels, the mayor turn is pretty exciting. More Oliver-with-a-day-job secret identity hijinks! Something IMO this show has been sorely lacking.

Slade was introduced in the last few minutes of the mid-season finale.

The killing/no-killing methodology has never made a whole lot of sense. Oliver tries to find another way when it's plot convenient and he needs to have angst over killing people. Like, now he's facing a schism over killing? He offed Ra's last year and hasn't thought twice about it.

In the goodbye message that he filmed for his kid, Oliver said that he asked the kid's mother to take him somewhere safe, and not let Oliver know where exactly they were.

Given that they've repeatedly tried to sell us on this nonsensical time remnant thing, I think they have a very low opinion of the audience's intelligence.

Ditto.

Yeah, I didn't have a problem buying it in the show. I just wish it had been different. That he'd just flat out hated Oliver and that the tired "revenge for the death of a woman I loved" part of it had never been a factor.

Or potentially risks everyone's lives to go back in time and save his mom.

I liked Deathstroke the best too, although I wish he'd had a less stupid motivation. Although I can hand wave that as him just being all brain-scrambled by Mirakuru.

I can't remember - what did Zoom say Barry needed to do in order to make one? Be willing to kill himself, or be willing to die? Like, does one have to find a time remnant that's willing to disappear for his future self's victory? Are there a few that aren't willing to do it? I have so many questions.

Scary thought: they did have it planned out, and this was what they came up with.

If you're making up time travel rules, and time remnants, might as well make up some kind of way to reuse a last name.

Time remnants. Always time remnants.
