A major Hollywood project taking on the real-life Handmaid's Tale-type misogyny and oppression going on in the religion and countries you're talking about sounds interesting. Can't wait to see if that happens.

I'm shocked. Absolutely shocked - that he didn't do or say something worse.

Not nearly often or quickly enough to uphold the dignity of the presidency, unfortunately.

I was thinking more just naked, unmitigated, unapologetic evil. Evil that isn't being done out of necessity or madness or desperation or ignorance by its perpetrators, but out of simple greed and heartlessness.

I still don't understand why, of all of Trump's offenses, this was the one that seems to have really upset Colbert.

As much as I loathe Trump and like Colbert, this was an ill-thought-out use of words and an ill-thought-out joke in general by Colbert. Very surprising and disappointing.

The Trump presidency (so far) is worse than George W. Bush's presidency = the very definition of "alternative fact".

Some of it is probably just the hope that Trump'll hear about it and it'll get on his nerves, but many of these people probably know in the back of their minds just how ridiculous this comparison actually is.

Sorry, but to me (at least) there was absolutely nothing funny or harmless about it, even as compared to the performance of the Trump administration thus far.
