Good point on Morgan. That man makes some weird, weird acting choices - at some points I'm actually reminded of the Dean from Community, with his strange posturing (shortly before Olivia opened the door) and at other times he's just doing what seems like an impression of Ledger's joker and of Frank Caliendo's Al

The show hasn't been exactly good in a while (if ever). But at least you could hardly ever call it flat-out boring. Seven episodes in, this season's been nothing but that.

I wouldn't exactly call it news - because who knows what Nolan means by that - but I would certainly welcome Hopkins returning in some capacity.

The show really was stellar. Magnificent acting all around and the plotting was clever (even though the comment sections on the internet that predicted every move the show would make ruined some of that for me).

When asked whether Ford is dead Nolan replied “Well, that version of Ford is dead”.Which sounds kind of exciting. His was certainly the most rewarding storyline of the season and really did I love Hopkins' perforamnce which is why it would be a shame were he not to return.

This reminds of Cleese recently on Conan: 'One of my ex-wives died and I got very sad because it was the wrong one.'

Well, Parenthood wasn't as good in its early episodes as it was with the start of season two and onward. The comparison is apt, though: Both shows have a talent to make me feel good about myself and humanity. Something decent and nice amidst all the bad guys that usually dominate prestige television.

Fuck. I didn't even know she was in a new series. That is how much I ignored that show - even after it ended.

That's fine. Dexter actually deserves all the vulgarity thrown at it.

No, no. Keep your opinion and defend it for as long as you find someone who's willing to argue with you. It's just that the 'bullshit' reaction sounds like someone just kicked you in the nuts whereas in reality you've been kicked in the nuts six years ago. And while that might still annoy you at some point you got to

Speak for yourself. I never felt like they shat over me as a viewer - by all accounts Lindelof and Cuse cared very deeply about their fandom and their show and had only the best of intentions when they went into that final stretch of episodes.

No. It's not. But you know what? The concept of heaven is so odd and ridiculous and ill-defined as it is - no need really to debate about the inner logic that any movie/tv show presents that deals with any sort of afterlife. I thought the revelation was corny but oddly moving at the same time and also fully in synch

Maybe try to understand that they weren't fucking dead along before shitting all over Lost would be… fair?

Absolutely. The acting's fantastic and the writing - especially when they did those 'special episodes' - was far removed from the other, cornier stuff of the decade, that was most often more romanticised and therefore felt a lot shoddier.

I heard that one many times before. I probably still won't skip it, though, since I already paid for the DVD sets and being the cheap prick that I am I'm going to have my money's worth.

The Wire had a great talent to be endlessly depressing and saddening. I got from the writer's response that that was the reason why didn't want to revisit the show rather than due to it not being worth it.

Yup. I may be done as well with this self-indulgent piece of smart-assery.

I've seen a lot of episodes before, but right now I'm going through Roseanne on DVD for the first time to watch the show in order. I'm about to start up season six and I realize how topical and, yes, right out funny this show still is. So while a bunch of 80s sitcoms are certainly dated I wouldn't count this as one of

I probably won't watch most of them ever again, simply because there is no time in between all the classics that I have yet to see and the tons and tons of new stuff that comes out every week these days.

Absolutely. Too many characters on that show lasted waaay past their usefullness. Clay should have been killed off at the end of season four. The whole Juice storyline turned into a bigger and bigger mess as it went on that just couldn't be saved anymore. Wayne's cancer was mentioned from time to time but really, it
