They might fill that gap later on in a flashback. I wouldn't want to draw premature conclusions but that seems more likely than a dream sequence that is never revealed as such.

I still consider Goodbye, Farewell and Amen to be the single best series finale I have ever seen. So yeah, I respect the living shit out of this show. Would be nice if I had time enough on my hands to revisit this one day.
We'll always have Dirty Grandpa.
Yeah, isn't that just too cute how everyone would always act very rationally in any given stressful, murder-related situation?
But it's their motto… 8 seasons or cancelled right out of the gate.
It was either this or that Anaconda sequel "Ana2nda: The Jungle's not enough".
Looks like they're going for full sitcom-mode from here on out. From the looks of it not even the people behind this show want to continue making it - the trailer speaks volumes in this regard. Not sure if I'll even bother with season four. It's a shadow from its former self.
Ehem… you could almost say that this show [pause for dramatic effect] climaxed years ago.
Well, it wouldn't be David Simon if it wasn't self-righteous, now would it? I rather appreciate this tone,
actually since I agree with him on these issues and think his writing wouldn't be as strong if he wasn't so adamant about it and didn't voice his opinions so loudly.
I've been saying the same thing ever since they first announced their Kathrina plans. Why bother when they don't have an really interesting, fresh angle? Treme captured the aftermath perfectly and ACS seems to be headed into the same direction. I don't know, wait and see, I guess.
I don't know, there was this one story that Spanky Taylor told in the movie about how she was punished and what they did to her kid, how she eventually escaped and so forth and how Travolta - a close friend of hers - never even bothered to help her at all just about broke my heart. Yeah, I'm sure Miscavige put a lot…
Yeah, I heard. In all honesty: I didn't even mind him that much as Shapiro. But just the other night I was watching Going Clear for the first time and realized what a miserable asshole this guy must be.
Man, that show was so perfect.
But what the public really wants to know: Will John Travolta's eyebrows be back?
I'll watch, partly because the trailer looked pretty cool but mostly out of felt obligation since I've watched all the other Netflix/Marvel productions so far. The Luke Cage character seemed pretty dull and unintersting to me on Jessica Jones and I really hope they give him a little more edge and depth on his own show…
My thoughts exactly. There were some nice touches here and there throughout those past two episodes that Gamby may just come around.
Vince Gilligan said the same thing about Breaking Bad. The difference was that Walter White was a decent fella at first and turned more and more into the villain only as the show went on whereas Gamby and Russell are gigantic assholes right out of the gate. Maybe that is what makes some people uncomfortable.
So did I. What a hot mess. Even though it had Richard Schiff in it.
This show is embraced by everyone and I feel shitty that I simply just can't join the chorus. The stylistics of the series (off-centered camera angles and those odd close-ups they often do) continue to irritate me and whatever it is that Rami Malek does is either intentional or just crappy actoing - I can't decide.
I saw the first two seasons years ago and haven't gotten around to watching the rest. I remember Doyle as being one of my favorite parts in this show. Smart, witty. Sad to read about his passing.
