Pretty much. This isn't a bad thing since Andrea pretty much resembled comic book Carol with her dependency on men and nearly similar deaths. They needed to have more than one strong female character, since Andrea picked up the idiot ball so often in the TV show.

I think the only characters that were shown to pick up a thing or two from Daryl were Carol and Beth. Rosita was shown to have some survival knowledge. Other than those characters, I don't think anyone else was shown to possess any other skills. It can be inferred that Maggie and Rick know a bit about farming, etc. I…

That was another issue that I was considering. Having Rick, Daryl, Paul, Carol, and Michonne on one team would make everyone else seem useless. They're going to have to trim the fat or splinter the group to keep everyone on a leveled playing field or make everyone just as competent as the above mentioned.
