Although my hopes were high, I've come to that realization that it is about the women - not the sport. Sigh.

I've conducted a couple of small surveys in the local barrel racing community - here's one remark that I liked: "You
know, the lack of interaction with the horses is what I don't
get…RODEO and BARREL racing is about the HORSES! They do not even
touch the about of blood, sweat, tears and time spent on them. As far as

Thank you! I barrel race (on a semi-pro level), and it IS fun and extremely challenging. I trained my own horse who is doing well after 3+ years of dedication, bruises, hard work and very little make-up and NEVER EVER in a damn bikini (hell - I'm a breast cancer survivor)! It is a VERY competitive and addictive sport

May be true. But the hard working, REAL competitors are the ones who kick their be-hinds!

Twice around each? It shows how BADLY the show covered the competition. It's THREE barrels, ONCE around each in a specific order. And the horns that supposedly started and stopped the horses DO NOT EXIST. What a FARCE!!

I am a barrel racer - this stupid show is an INSULT to the sport. True competitors are NOTHING like this show. We love our horses, we love the competition AND we help our fellow competitors out - it's called Sportsmanship. True barrel racers were watching the National Finals Rodeo, where REAL cowgirls were competing.
