He ended up being a good guy on The Event. Based on his filmography, I did not see that coming.

No, they had classic rock in season 1, and it was glorious. The episode with the shapeshifter made excellent use of "Inna-Gadda-Da-Vida" in its opening, for example. I can't imagine the show without its music, but it's probably still enjoyable.

Wow, Dean paired up with Liz Lemon? That's a strange pairing, but also kind of awesome. My mind is reeling! If I were the type to write fan fiction, I totally would write the Dean/Liz story.

I was annoyed by their calling him a "murderer" also. The cops especially should've pointed out that Nick was a manslaughterer.

I've heard bad things about it, mostly right here on the AV Club. Personally, I rather liked it. It's one of the most disturbing X-Files episodes ever, and that's saying something.

Agreed. I wanted to like this show—it looks absolutely gorgeous, and I have a weakness for vampire shows—but it's just so dreadfully boring. I actually fell asleep during the pilot. Granted, I was operating on very little sleep, so it's not necessarily a knock on the show, but still. I tried watching this week, and

They should've had Root and Shaw singing the "buckle up or you'll die" song from Bob's Burgers.

@b9257d0020593712ced7ef10b84e4c3c:disqus , does this mean you're finally ready to join Team Peter?

If Peter's smart, he'll wait until she's fully out of L/G before screwing her out of the judgeship.

True, it just struck me that they had done two plots from recent vampire shows.

I love Caroline. She's my favorite character on the show, and definitely the best vampire, but I do NOT want to see her and Stefan become a couple.

The fact that she could be someone's mother now only makes it hotter!

Yeah, but then they paired Audrey with Billy Zane, who seemed at least as old as Cooper. That was so frustrating to me at the time (I was, what, 14? 15 at the time?). I was shipping Dale and Audrey so hard….

Of course there was also Stefan being locked in a metal box and dumped into the water, which happened to Angel in the finale of his show's third season.

Did anyone love it? I see a lot of people calling this mediocre at best.

Ahh, well I knew it was at least in the Gary Oldman movie. Point is, this show didn't invent it, they lifted it from an earlier Dracula adaptation.

Wasn't there something about Dracula's lost long being reincarnated in the original story (or at least the film version with Gary Oldman)?

I didn't like Nick's mom anyway, so she's fair game as far as I'm concerned.

Bite your tongue! "99 Luftballons" is a classic,

I've actually heard of that blue air thing. I remember in the Farscape season 3 companion book, they wrote about including a flash of bright blue glow in a scene where a character gets hit with a burst of fatal radiation, because they had read about such a thing happening (I believe there was some reference to it in
