First 5 seasons, ranked:

Since you bought the DVD, I'm assuming you'll watch the whole 1st season. There's a couple of pretty bad episodes in there, but the show has a lot better idea of what it is towards the end of the season. Season 2 is probably my favorite.

Wow, completely forgot about that. Seems like they did too

So did they just shut down any future Superman solo films?

I just felt bad for the kids/step-grandkids

I'm sure I'm not the only person to say this, but it gets better about 2/3 of the way through the first season

Completely forgot about that. Wonder if Patty Spivot will be around in the near future.

Winning hearts and minds abroad

I figure it's either this, or they go with an ESPN-like bottom line for advertisers. Or everything goes a-la-carte

The Windows tablet product placement on Arrow always feels out of place. Not sure if it's because how prominently it is shown onscreen, or if it's just because I never see those things out in the wild.

Looks like you're right. I was binge-reading the old GL comics at the time, and I remembered her being gone really quick, and seemingly out of nowhere

I meant that they made choices in the show that brought them to where they were, not that they chose to die (though Moira kind of did). I just equate the concept of fridging as a woman that has no agency in the story, and is the innocent person that gets killed to spur the hero on. This show has characterized most

Classic fridging: Kyle Rayner's origin. If I remember correctly, she was there, talked about his potential, then was dead by the end of the first issue

I'm assuming that the prior story arcs that Sarah had led to her death. Not just someone that wants to hurt Oliver and goes after his old girlfriend

My enjoyment of this episode was increased by the fact that I was watching it with my roommate, who dated 3 Asian women in a row.

I see a lot of people saying that they "fridged" Sara. Unless every female death is considered "fridging," I think that's an unfair assessment of the show. Sure, it's 3-to-1 on main character deaths, but the three women all made their own decisions (edit: had agency throughout the show), and weren't there just to be

If they do that, I'd rather they use Supergirl as the Superman of that universe. I think that would not only change the dynamic by having the most powerful hero be a woman, but they would also not have to reference her cousin that is never on-screen

I think the leaked version of the pilot was 46-48 mins. long, so I think they just didn't cut anything from that.

Was I the only one that had an issue with the plumbing (the actual plumbing) in this episode? Who has an above-ground hot tub that is connected to the sewage system?

Would have been great comedy for him to think he's taken on the properties of solid gold, only to get a hole punched through him because it was actually dried gold paint
