I find it weird that I liked him in Spin City, even though he's essentially playing Charlie Sheen with some local political clout.  Maybe it was the residual goodwill left from Michael J Fox.

I think that, when running away from something falling on you, you should follow the potential path of destruction.  Who cares if you just saw the other person fall down, and roll five feet to the left to safety.
