Season 9 is weak, but I really don't mind it that much on the whole. I *wanted* the show to end for good when Mulder left, but since it didn't, I would've been fine with mediocre X-Files mysteries going on for many more years. It's still a mostly enjoyable watch. There's a couple of near great entries.
