Not important? Rumple created the curse for him, which is like the premise of the entire show.
No profound effect on characters? Emma loved him, Belle was friends with him (sort of stepmother), Hook cared about him, Henry will miss him if he gets his memories back, and Rumple definitely loved him… enough to spend

Why did nobody speak at the funeral?

Yes

Well…. flashback Snow was really smart. Ans S2 Snow was at least average.

My favorite line was "About what? Leather conditioner and eyeliner?"

That was after they needed his father to be alive to defeat the witch. If he'd known in the EF, when all he wanted was to get back to Emma and Henry, he never would have turned that key.

It's better.

Two?

Hook: Oh, and the sacrificed child was your father. Don't we have a great family dynamic?
Henry: Mom?!!!!!
Emma: Relax, honey, he's changed.
Henry: Didn't you say he slept with my grandma?
Emma: Well, yeah.
Henry: Which side?
Emma: Oh, your father's of course. My mother is married.
Henry: I thought you didn't know your

Yes, it was an illogical reason for him to die. There were many reasons I liked Neal as a character. Brains/common sense was not one of them.

Anywhere seems horrible when you're not allowed to leave.

For number 9 - the Witch did kill Neal, indirectly. If they had found it by reading, they would have known the price, and maybe have thought about it more before doing it. But because they were told, they didn't know the price. It was a bit obvious, but desperation is a powerful thing.

They didn't know who they were… Snow and Charming were separated… Regina had total power… seriously?

Sounds like a cool game…

Funny… but rude.

Neal didn't just die so Rumple could tell them Zelena's name, but also so he could help fight her (of course, Zelena has the dagger, and now that Rumple is only one person she can control him, so Neal didn't think that one out well)

Why don't we wait to hear the motivation before deciding it's not good?

I actually liked this episode… confusing as it was, it managed to increase the plot a significant amount and be one of the most significantly emotional episodes since Season 2 (at least in my opinion). I was upset that Neal died, but at least he had a decent ending, not just "Eh, we don't need you anymore. Bye!" My
