I'm going to paraphrase a tweet that dropped the fucking mic on this whole goddamn thing:
I'm going to paraphrase a tweet that dropped the fucking mic on this whole goddamn thing:
Look, as much as I love love LOVE this film, can the people in charge of subtitling it for its Western releases PLEASE get on the same page for what the dialogue actually is? I've seen the VHS, the Criterion DVD and the newer Blu releases, and the dialoge changes each time. Personally when it comes to the nicknames…
I can see why that is a popular opinion. It's taking Woo's themes of duality to its most literal extreme, and it's kind of fun.
You know, I really liked Eddie Redmayne when I first saw him in films like BLACK DEATH and MY WEEK WITH MARILYN… and then suddenly he was EVERYWHERE and now I see his face, and I don't ever want to see anything he's in, talented or not.
GONE GIRL, a film I love to death, is in his wheelhouse as far as a performer is concerned because he just has two or three emotions he has to play (charming, concerned, angry), but once he's out of that zone, watch out because he's boring as stone.
Here's what I'm hoping has been set up: Sami defeats The Miz (it won't happen, but I can dream) and RAW gets the IC. Kalisto defeats The Brian Kendrick and SD gets the Cruiserweight title as well as the division. That way, Sami and other undercard performers can get more exposure on RAW and hopefully this will renew…
A: Can we once and for all concede that GONE BABY GONE is by far the elder Affleck's best directorial effort?
I am both excited and terrified to see this film. Verhoeven is a great filmmaker, and it doesn't seem like this film steps over that line he OCCASIONALLY goes over in favor of exploitation but still… that opening might be a bit much for me. It's weird but films that deal with rape exist in this weird dichotomy of…
I stopped watching that show. As quirky as it is, and as much as I LOVE Rose McIver, I just couldn't stick with it. It's a little TOO quirky for me. Some shows by creators with a very specific style and voice work for me, and others don't. Whedon and Fuller work for me, but Thomas doesn't.
I really don't think that this show is going to go for a Kara/Mon-El relationship… but Berlanti can get a little frustrating when it forces itself to go in directions that it doesn't need to/shouldn't.
I had to stifle a VERY inappropriate laugh after reading this. That's a truly awful thing to say, and I hate myself for laughing at it. Thank you for showing me my true self.
Rising Stars are part of the Team RAW team roster.
Remember when a film with Nicolas Cage and Willem Dafoe directed by Paul Schrader would be kind of a big deal? Oh, how times change.
I agree wholeheartedly. I honestly don't know if I could ever congratulate a Cardinals victory. I might if it took 108 years.
And then there are the Cards fans, and the Mets fans, and the White Sox Fans and the Giants fans and the Dodger fans and the Yankees and the Red Sox and the Nats fans and the Marlins fans and the Blue Jays fans and the fans of the fans and everyone is a bubbling cesspool of hate and anger and why does anyone care so…
Ironically, season 4 is the one I remember the least, and it may be due to issues like this. It's kind of like how William Atherton's EPA rep is the human villain of GHOSTBUSTERS. That shit wouldn't fly now, but if you don't have some kind of authority figure to rally against, how can you possibly create drama… on a…
As long as we can all agree that Season 6 was the WORST.
"He's my friend." - CIVIL WAR
Can I downvote your comment any harder, fuckwad? Isn't there a button that will either give a human being the basest possible empathy or just automatically suck their body through the earth in straight into hell?
I'm in agreement most with JAWS and TWILIGHT ZONE (both of which still haunt me but for very different reasons), but I would also put AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON up there. It's a longer opening sequence and it goes through at least two different locations, but it doesn't end until David blacks out after seeing Jack…
