I think sooner or later he was gonna evolve. Slowly by slowly he was becoming more like scott. He didn't wanna kill anybody and he was becoming good. Maybe aging him back sped up the evolving process.

Yes I agree. Somebody close to scott needs to die. He never loses anybody. Alison died but they weren't dating so it was kinda like losing a really close friend. It would have had a greater impact if they were dating than alison died.

Kate never did anything to Derek. He would have lost his powers regardless but I see what you're saying. They shoulda explained it instead of assuming we would figure it out
