Out of curiosity, what actors was she criticizing and why?

The reason political views influence the perspective of a person is because politics speak directly about morality, such as abortion, or welfare; and these morals speak directly about the person themselves. That can be hard to separate. Power to you for being able to do so.

I'm well aware of how different Ayn's views are from what the Right has personified her to be. For example she was quite an atheist, but that has never come up in her portrayals on conservative media. My sole reason of mentioning Ayn was as an example of an author whose views I do not support, versus her literary

Agreed. From what I've read so far, Gabaldon is definitely an engaging writer. She also has a PhD in Behavioral Ecology, which explains her dedication to scientific knowledge in the books.

Hello Kitty is no stranger. She's our friend!

I hope you see the irony in declaring your open mindedness, all the while judging me for my views on libertarian-ism.

    Where's "Arrested Development's" George-Michael and Maeby?! They're classic cousins-in-love!

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I think the fact that Kalinda and Alicia don't share scenes is more personal. I've read somewhere that Archie is very particular about her scenes, and likes to do them over and over again till she's satisfied, and Juliana likes to do it, get done, and go home. Who knows what the

Anyone else crushing on the funny "cloud sweater" Robyn was wearing? Hearts <3
    What a cutie!

Quote: "Alicia looks exhausted throughout most of this episode. "

There was also the nipple slicing in "Mad Men." Remember Ginsberg? That was a frightening present for Peggy!

That's interesting. I might like Gabaldon a little less now. She had me fooled with Claire appearing to be so progressive and independent. I dunno what to think now.

****Warning: There are some major spoilers on a few posts. Tread with caution****

Is it just me, or does Jaime seem utterly infatuated with Claire? It's rather darling, actually.

    What an excellent episode!
Award for best quote goes to Eli's daughter: "Maybe he's telling her she's gotta wear panties."

OMG I lost it with the male clone. It was utterly ridiculous! She does the 3-4 major clones well: Allison, Sarah, Cosima, and Henena. That's it.

    I bought "sad Frank" though…
Maslany doesn't pull off all her characters, but they're up to like 7 clones or something, so it's pushing it.

I think Tobias Menzies is good enough to pull a Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black), and play all the Randall men. I was watching an interview, and Menzies definitely seemed game. Not sure if Moore (showrunner) would be on board.

Question. I think I heard that Black Jack Randall *spoiler* has a brother. You think he is going to be played by Tobias Menzies? I really love the actor and don't want him to leave regardless of the fates of Black Jack and Frank (that might be beyond the first book however).

Thanks. I admit it's a lot more fun to read when you don't know what is going to happen. Right now I'm at Castle Leoch for the first time, and while it's fun, I keep comparing to the series, and that takes away from my imagination. Definitely going to read ahead for next season.
