Doubtful. Most plaintiffs' lawyers doing wrongful death cases don't get paid upfront…they take a percentage at the end. A lawyer has no incentive to convince people to file a frivolous lawsuit, because when they lose, the lawyer doesn't get paid for what was probably years of work.

Good PR = money. Bad PR = lost money. Plus, any of the legal fees Cinemark recovers would go in Cinemark's pockets, not the defense lawyers'.
