I seriously could have sworn this had already happened.

Synopsis: All of the villains die anticlimactically for stupid reasons, Roland saves Stephen King from getting hit by that van, and the tower contains nothing but disappointment and a loop back to the start of the first novel.

This goes beyond scraping the bottom of the barrel. This is cracking through the bottom, finding out that there's a second, long-rotting barrel buried beneath the first one, and clawing through the mold and maggots to scrape the bottom of that one.

It's funny how nostalgia works. I can go for over a decade barely remembering that Captain Underpants used to be a thing I loved, and then I stumble into this comments section and all of a sudden my hands are trying to use two pages of the novel on my desk as a Flip-O-Rama.

A pox on whoever decided that animation can only be considered "adult" if it's stiff, flat, and flavorless.

Nable's performance was great. The season writing and indistinct plot arc failed him as a character, but he himself was never the issue.

Except unlike The Matrix, the mythology of this world is actually pretty rich and interesting beyond what's already been shown, and the people responsible for it aren't pretentious fauxlosophers.

"over on Tumblr the fires seem to be rising."

That… wasn't bad. It was satisfying, but I was expecting more. Would definitely have benefited from an extended runtime, maybe an hour just to let the emotional beats sink in.

On the one hand, the last thing Arrowverse needs is another spinoff to further split up the creative team. Look at how quickly The Flash went into tailspin and how badly S4 of this show went because they were busily setting up Legends.

A rare case where the crowd-pleasing theatrical ending 100% works better than any alternates like this. The sight of the police car, followed by the subversion of it being Chris's friend (which never failed to get the audience clapping and cheering in any of the screenings I went to), is one of the most brilliant

I have a horrible fear that they've brought back Slade just to kill him off in the finale. We still don't exactly know where Manu Bennett stands with the rest of the crew, and if proper olive branches haven't been extended and accepted, I could see him only allowing himself to be brought back just so his character can

The last time I even remember this being a thing was 3-4 years ago. Way to stay on top of things, AV Club.

If the season actually ends with a few dozen time remnants of Barry yelling at him from the sidelines to run faster, I will forgive this show for everything.

On the one hand, fuck this childish asshole.

Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders: Origin of Evil - Electric Boogaloo II: Dick Wolf Rising, Part 1

I'm fairly desensitized to fictional violence by now, but if I even think about John Wick hammering the pencil into that poor bastard's ear canal, I get genuinely nauseous.

"The real Marvel's Inhumans were the friends we made along the way."

You know… this may be an unpopular stance, but I really don't care if a villain is absurdly powerful and ten steps ahead of everyone, as long as they remain compelling while doing it. Chasemetheus, to me, is still a really compelling baddie no matter how unbelievable it is that he keeps outsmarting Team Arrow. And

He's just upset because even though he got rid of Comey, Putin's still making him sleep on the couch.
